Fakeeh University Hospital Hosts Fourth Annual International Health Conference Highlighting AI, Genomics, Robotics, and Advanced Acute Care

Fakeeh University Hospital and Fakeeh Health successfully concluded the fourth edition of their annual international health conference, bringing together more than 2707 registered participants and over 753 attendees on-site from across the UAE, the Gulf region, and the world. The conference showcased the latest advancements in acute medicine, artificial intelligence, robotics, and gene therapy, aligning with Dubai’s strategic vision for future-ready healthcare.
Group CEO / Board Member – Fakeeh Health and CEO of Fakeeh University Hospital, Dr. Mohaymen Abdelghany highlighted the hospital’s expanding role in emergency medicine, trauma care, and rapid response services in Dubai’s fast-growing districts. He noted key discussions on neurological genetic therapy, emergency management in brain cancer, cardiac emergencies, trauma medicine, and the hospital’s capabilities as a major trauma center supporting Rashid Hospital.


Dr. Mazen Abou Chaaban, Director of Academic & Training Affairs, Designated Institutional Officer (DIO), Consultant Pediatric & Pediatric Nephrology at Fakeeh University Hospital emphasized the hospital’s commitment to advancing clinical excellence and patient-centered innovation through this year’s 4th Annual FUH Conference with the main objective to translate scientific progress into real, measurable improvements in patient safety, clinical outcomes, and operational efficiency.” Dr. Mazen highlighted that the conference is not only a scientific platform but also a strategic roadmap for the hospital’s next phase of growth.


Ms.Marlies Klok, Senior Manager of Academic and Training Affairs at Fakeeh University Hospital, emphasized that the event reflects the institution’s ongoing mission:“We not only aim to highlight innovation in healthcare, but to show that innovation must always come with compassion. As an academic hospital, education, innovation, and excellence go hand in hand at Fakeeh University Hospital.”
From the academic and training sector, Dr. Ziyad Al-Harbi, Group Vice President ,Education & Training, Chief Fakeeh Care Academy, and Group DIO, Fakeeh Care Academy, highlighted the strong scientific presence at the conference. He noted the significant focus on gene therapy and regenerative medicine, with leading researchers from the UAE, Saudi Arabia, the Gulf, and international institutions.
“The standout achievement this year was the direct link between research, clinical studies, and real therapeutic applications,” he said.

Dr. Balu Bhaskar, Chief Medical Officer and Head of the Intensive Care Unit at Fakeeh University Hospital, Consultant Critical Care Medicine , Fakeeh University Hospital,
announced that this year’s theme marks a strategic shift:
“We are focusing on AI-driven care and genomic therapies. Our goal is to lead the region by integrating advanced AI technologies with novel treatments for rare diseases and acute conditions.”
He confirmed that the conference will produce recommendations and insights for the hospital, the healthcare community, and government entities across the UAE.
From the emergency and public health perspective, Dr. Racha Abou Chahine, Quality &Risk Management Director, at Fakeeh University Hospital, emphasized the importance of mental health and future-oriented emergency care models.
She highlighted the use of modern technology, cross-sector collaboration, and evidence-based practice to improve patient outcomes.

The future of healthcare depends on combining cutting-edge technology with human compassion, continuous education, and evidence-based medical practice—ensuring better health, stronger communities, and improved patient care across the UAE.
