Sylvester Stallone shared that the gym is still his “sanctuary” — even though it gets “harder and harder” as the years pass.
“I haven’t done a video from the gym in a long time, but you know, it’s kind of like, in a way, a sanctuary, a church,” the Tulsa King star, 79, explained in an Instagram video posted Jan. 19. The actor showed off the results of his regular workouts in a black tank top, paired with black pants, and panned the camera around the gym to show off heavy punching bags well-suited for the Rocky star.Stallone continued, sharing, “We pray to get better, to feel better physically, so you have the strength to arrive at your goals feeling confident and ready to face any challenge.”
The actor — who turns 80 on July 6 — shared in the caption that “every year it gets harder and harder, but that’s why you gotta push harder and harder. blood sweat and tears.” The actor recently underwent back surgery, per TV Insider, which is why he needed a cane when he hit the red carpet for the 2025 Kennedy Center Honors.
