Variety of Films Screening in Doha Cinemas This Week

Qatari cinemas are offering moviegoers a rich lineup of films this week, featuring a diverse mix of newly released international titles. The screenings include a range of genres such as action, thriller, horror, adventure, comedy, and animated films suitable for children and families, catering to all age groups and preferences.

Among the most anticipated releases this week is the action thriller “No Body 2”, the sequel to the cult hit No Body. The film follows the story of Hutch Mansell, a former assassin who is reluctantly pulled back into the world of violence when a home invasion exposes dark secrets from his and his wife Becca’s past. Directed by Timo Tjahjanto, the film stars Bob Odenkirk, Colin Hanks, and John Ortiz, and promises intense action sequences alongside emotional depth.

Also premiering is the chilling horror-thriller “Please Don’t Feed the Children”, which explores a post-pandemic world where a deadly virus has wiped out most of the adult population. A group of orphaned children travels to the American South in search of safety but instead encounters a disturbed woman with a dangerous secret. Directed by Destry Allyn Spielberg, the film features a gripping performance by Michelle Dockery, alongside Giancarlo Esposito and Zoe Colletti.

For younger audiences and families, the animated comedy “Grand Prix of Europe” is now showing. The film tells the heartwarming story of Ada, a small but determined mouse who dreams of becoming a race car driver. With the prestigious European Grand Prix approaching, Ada seizes the chance to compete, meet her racing idol, and overcome personal and physical challenges. Directed by Waldemar Fast, the film features the voices of Hayley Atwell, Lenny Henry, and Colin McFarlane.

In the comedy-adventure category, “Sketch” delivers an imaginative and emotional story. The film centers on Hale, a single father grieving the loss of his wife, who relocates with his daughter to a remote town. There, he discovers that her dark sketches begin to manifest in reality, unleashing chaos. Directed by Seth Worley, the film stars Tony Hale, D’Arcy Carden, and rising talent Bianca Belle.

In addition to these new releases, several popular titles remain in theaters, including Superman and the classic spoof comedy The Naked Gun, offering audiences a blend of nostalgia and timeless entertainment.

With such a wide array of choices, Doha’s cinemas continue to be a cultural hub for film lovers, providing an engaging cinematic experience that reflects global trends while catering to local audiences.
